Here is the FOR statement:

Standard of Reliability
59 years after incorporation, Bonney Lake has become about the 54th largest city in our state. It's time our city government has a new standard of reliability. We can independently audit our elected officials as a Charter Government, and our government as a Charter City.
Best Government
Charter means Constitution. The Charter is the highest degree of best government. Now is the best time to protect our City like it is the state itself. With the Charter we can keep the council-mayor form of government, install accountability and separate the three branches of government.
Charter Protection
We can: protect our government from over spending; control the direction of city growth through improved financial reporting; make rules how our government will act on concerns of the people; make rules how management and elected officials are paid and have more consistency in how the city codes are applied.
We can control the governance of our government.

Our REBUTTAL statement:
Presently, the three branches of Bonney Lake government are separate. Citizens can already ask for an accountability audit or get involved in the budget process. The only way to change the Charter once adopted is to go through the same process: petition, ballot, 15 freeholders arguing for 180 days, another ballot. A Charter would mean less freedom for citizens, not more. Too costly in time, money and progress. Visit www.NoCharter.com and then vote "NO."
